It's always exciting to watch a sign come to life...and this was no exception. In fact, it has been the single most exciting project so far! I'm very happy with the results and ready for the next one!
Thanks Dan! I was both happy and a little sad that the requirements of my deadline put me in the position to get it painted in one day. On the one hand, I had no time to really experiment with the colors. On the other hand, it forced me to go with my gut and make choices on the fly...and I'm happy with the result. My daughter looked in on it before bed last night and it was mostly white (primer). Today it was finished. She gave me a compliment of sorts- "Dad, it looks like you bought it...not like you made it in the workshop!"
That's a pretty good compliment actually! The kids are the toughest critics! Pretty amazing work Doug. It was pretty cool watching it move along in the whole process. Thanks for sharing & inspiring! Hope you get some sleep soon! - Gary H.
